Not this time

So I'm a little disappointed, OK, maybe a lot disappointed that neither of my cards was accepted by Paper Crafts this time around, but the silver lining is that I have a blog so I still get to share them. Here is the first one. This is actually Andrew's concept based on the below sketch, and it literally took FOREVER to put together.

The little yellow lane dividers were so time consuming, and made me wish that I owned tweezers....must buy tweezers....but I think they came out really well. The hearts were cut with the Cricut Art Philosphy cartridge, and the clouds were drawn free hand and then cut out. The little banner was a free graphic I downloaded from the internet, put into powerpoint, and added text to.

There's almost no actual stamping/ink on the card. The exception is that I sponged color onto the top portion of the card for the sky, and around the edges of the clouds.

I really like the clean look of the card, and hope that you enjoy it too. Congrats to those of you who were lucky enough to get acceptance emails yesterday. I'm starting to work on some submission for some other calls. If at first you don't succeed....

Have a great weekend! My sister/parents have the girls ALL WEEKEND, so we're footloose and fancy free! Looking forward to sleeping in, a couple dates with the hubby, some shopping with giftcards, and of course a little crafting.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Black, White Daisy, Sweet Leaf Sunflower, Cranberry, Tulip, Smoothie
Ink: Heavenly Blue
Other: Cricut Art Philosphy Cartridge, Dimensional Foam Tape, Sponge tool
