In & Out

No, not the fast food chain, although that is always one of the highlights of my trips to the West Coast, but rather a 'game' Carina plays in the mornings.

After all the cards I've been making, I really needed to do some scrapbooking, and I've been wanting to do this series of photos for a while.  This one is just for fun, just for me, no challenges involved.

These photos are from June.  She still does, this although not nearly as often as before.  She would take all her books, dump them in her crib, 'read' them, and then chuck them out of the crib.  Repeat.

It was great when she first started doing it because it allowed me a little more flexibility/time to get ready in the mornings.

I'm using GCD Studio's Sweet Tooth collection.  It's become one of my favorites for the girls layouts.  It's plenty girly if you want to go there, but doesn't have to be overtly girly.  The green prints were perfect to highlight the greens from Carina's nursery.

I did a fair amount of stitching on this layout.  Not over everything, but to add a little more texture and interest.

The letters and ampersand were cut using the Cricut Artiste cartridge - the font on there has become one of my go-tos.  I love how CAS it is.  I stitched around the ampersand to highlight it and ran it through my 5" Xyron.  This 'locked' my stitches which was important since I had to cut it since it spans the left and right pages on the layout.

Hope your weekend has been great!  Enjoy what's left of it!

  5. Too cute! I had to enlarge the pic so I could read the journaling. It's so cool you scrap those kinds of stories because they are so cute and memorable. Lovely layout!
