The Best is Yet to Come, CSC116

Seems like it's been ages since I played along over at CASE Study, but as soon as I saw this week's card by Angeline Yong (below) I knew I wanted to play along and, and I knew exactly which stamps I wanted to use.

I was lucky enough to win one of CAS-ual Friday's inagural stamps, Truth Is, last month.  I'm using the flower images, but instead of using the whole image, I chose to use just the center part to mimic the smaller flowers in Angeline's card.

The background is a piece of craft cardstock that I distressed using a sponge, some direct to paper swiping with my Chocoalte stamp pad, and also some new Distress inks that I got in the mail last week from blogger Nichole of Creatique Candy.  LOVE plaing with new stuff!

I stamped just the stems of the flowers on the cardstock, and then I stamped the flowers on some patterned papers and fussy cut them.  I added some additional color to the flowers using my blending pen and the chocolate and distress inks, and touched them up with a Spectrum Noir marker.

Thanks for coming by!
