RCC85 - Back to School

Hey everyone!  I'm sharing my Ribbon Carousel card for this month today.  Our theme this month is back to school, so I thought i would make a chalkboard card.

I used There She Goes Cutie Pi set, one of my very favorite from them.

Some woodgrain cardstock was used for the frame, and I added some red ribbon from Michael's for a great pop of color.

This came together so quickly.  I love how easy the chalkboard style is.  Normally this image would take me forever as I'm not the world's greatest colorer, and piecing is time consuming, but this I can do, and the fact is the chalkboard effect is really forgiving because it is supposed to be a little messy/off center.

Hope that you can play along this month.  One random participant will win a Ribbon Carousel!

I'm also going to link this up over at CASual Fridays since they have a back to school challenge too.  :)

  5. Fun! I am loving the chalkboard trend right now and I never thought to try it with my lined images as I've seen mostly sentiments. The sentiment you used is really fun and I love that you used the woodgrain for the chalkboard frame :)

    Best crafty wishes!
