Guest Designing for Virginia's View Challenge

Hey everyone!  I'm happy to one of the guest designers for Virginia's View September challenge.  As luck would have it, the new challenge is paper piecing.  I happen to love paper piecing!

For my card I used some older Little Yellow Bicycle papers.  I stamped each of the feathers (from Jane's Doodles' Wise Owl set) on four sheets of patterned paper and then fussy cut each of the feather pieces.  Then I reassembled them over feathers I stamped on white card stock.

To add some extra interest, I popped up the blue pieces.

Although piecing takes a fair amount of time, it really is quite simple to do and the results are well worth it.

I added a few patterned paper mats, slightly offset, a strip of black card stock and sentiment from Wise Owl to finish it off.

Hope you will head over to Virginia's View

to check out the challenge and see the cards from the other guest designers this month.  And please play along!

Supplies Used
