Neat & Tangled Release Week Day 5

Hey everyone!  Thanks so much for the comments about Origami Map.  I'm so excited about it and it's nice to see you guys are too!

Today is the last day of reveals, and I just love this Turkey Talk set.

I love the size of the turkey, and definitely wanted to piece him.  These are some older papers from Little Yellow Bicycle's Poppy line, but they are the perfect colors for Thanksgiving.

I stamped the turkey on kraft cardstock twice.  One was used as the base, and the second only the turkey body was fussy cut for the top layer.

The tail feather layers are adhered directly on top of one another.  I didn't fully adhere them because I wanted some dimension from the feathers.  The turkey body was then adhered with some foam adhesive.

I stamped the turkey again on the card base, added some ground as well as a fussy cut speech bubble/sentiment.  Very CAS, I really wanted the turkey to be the star.

That's it for release week!  I hope you enjoyed it.  Remember, one of the comments on my release posts this week will be chosen to win one of my Origami Map sets.  Comments close tonight and I'll post the winner over the weekend.

  12. SOOOOOOOO CUTE! Love the dimension on that turkey's tail! SUPER FUN!

ps... so sorry I'm just now responding to your comment on my reflection post from last week--- I love your idea of listening to podcasts while working out! I did try that once, but what happens is that I want to write down what they are saying and take notes... super hard when I'm running! LOL! So I listen to worship music. I also flip through my PDFs of music or pinterest boards. Sometimes I flip through my music and "practice" playing the piano--- I never mess up this way! LOL! Sometimes I want to raise my hands because the words are so good, but then I almost fall off my machine! So I look forward or at the music and just sing the words! LOL!

THANKS so much for reading my posts--- I'm trying to get a feel for the direction of my reflections... it's slow coming, but I appreciate that you stop by and encourage me! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU <3
