MFT Color Challenge 23 oops

So you might recall that last week I mentioned I ended up having to redo my color card because I forgot one of the colors?

Well here's the original card I made for the challenge.  Note the missing Lemon Drop

This was a fun card to make since I was able to combine a couple of my favorites from the June release, Penguins in Paradise and the Abstract Cover-Up.

The Cover-Up was die cut four times from Smooth White, Wild Wisteria, Limelight and Razzle Berry.  I placed the outline over a panel of white, lightly tracing around the openings where I planned to stamp the penguins so I could use the lines as a guide.  After stamping and coloring the penguins with Copics, the outline piece was adhered and then the colored panels were randomly inlaid.

I used one of the extra white pieces for the sentiment and added a fun tropical drink for some balance.

That's all for today.  Hope your week is off to a great start!

  9. So smart to put the sentiment on one of the spare negative shapes! It, of course, matches perfectly with the base of your card : )

  19. What a cool card. Now I am kicking myself for not getting that cover up die. I just ordered from there and will not be ordering now until the end of the summer. I love the colors you used and how the penguins are peeking out of some of the spots. Really fabulous design.
