Weekend Guest Projects

I thought I would share the projects I created for my Weekend Guest post on Els Brige's blog from a couple weekends ago.

Each summer Els invites a few folks to share projects on her blog and answer some questions about their creative process (you have to go over there to read my answers)

I thought I'd take the opportunity to finish a layout.  I 'interview' Ellie each year on the first and last day of school.  It's not always the same questions, but they're school related, favorites, friends, etc.  It's fun to see her answers and I love that I don't have to think about the journaling.

Once the layout was complete I challenged myself to use the scraps/what I had out to create a card.  The patterned papers were all used on the layout and I picked a few additional pieces from the Crate Maggie Holmes Confetti Ephemera pack.  I also had an extra hoop die cut that worked perfectly with the circles on the tag from the ephemera pack.

I like to embellish my embellishments to make them a little more unique, so for the flower piece, I added a bit of sparkle paper behind the centers of the small flowers and some glossy accents to the center of the large flower and sprinkled a bit of glitter on while it was still wet.

That's all for me today!  Thanks for stopping by!
