Falling for Fall

This is my favorite time of year.  There is nothing like a crisp cool fall morning, especially up north where I no longer live, but Fall in the south is still a pretty sight to behold.

I thought today I would pull out one Elena's new sets from the last Neat & Tangled release that I hadn't gotten a chance to ink up yet, Into the Woods.

I created my panel by using my Scalloped die set from N&T, this is the middle sized die, with some watercolor paper.  I've been using it a lot lately, it's the perfect size for really setting something apart, I love the balance of white space from the base with the focal point.

Then I stamped the images and sentiment (from Lumberjack Love) using the MISTI.  I did some selective inking of the windy leaves stamp and did move it about a bit.

Then it was just a matter of watercoloring, I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Nothing fancy here.  Just basic watercoloring, adding dabs of color to mimic piles of leaves as well as some swishes for wind gusts.

Finally, I popped the whole panel up with some foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and happy November, I'm going to go steal some Halloween candy from the girls.  Speaking of which, I thought you guys might like to see some photos from last night.  Carina was Annie Oakley, and she was LOVING it as you can tell.  Ellie was Hermione Granger, besides the fact that it's getting harder and harder to get good pictures of her these days, and also seemed to think that smiling wasn't really in character for Hermione because she is so serious...and we had a footwear change mixed in too.
