Neat & Tangled June Release & Giveaways - Day 3

It's time for Day 3 of release week and today we're showcasing my new stamp set, Welcome Home.  The idea for this set actually came while I was walking the dog.  Since we live in a pretty transient area (lots of government/military folks moving in and out all the time), there are always houses for sale and I thought this would be a great idea for a set.

Most of the sentiments have to do with moving/buying a new home, but I thought it would be fun to throw in a baby sentiment.  Sometimes you don't want a gushy baby card, and this is a little tongue in cheek as it's a play off of 'stark reality'.

Anyway, I started with the sign which was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I added some light coloring with my grays and then stamped the solid stork image with a very light gray ink.  I added some additional shading with Copics to that to make it stand out a little more, but I wanted it to be pretty subtle.  Once that was done I stamped the sentiments and die cut the piece.

I used the largest of the dies from the Scalloped set along with a rectangle die to create a frame for my card and also cut some curved hills which I added some Copic coloring to for some extra definition.

Because I went with a pretty neutral color scheme, I felt like I needed a pop of color.  I didn't have a small enough red heart, so I (VERY NERVOUSLY) colored one in with a Copic while holding my breath the entire.  Thankfully I did not screw up and have to do this again!

One more quick idea for you guys.  I thought the main image would be perfect for stamping on envelopes for change of address notifications or if you were going to have a housewarming party.  Here's just the quickest look at how it looks size wise on an envelope:

Now it's time to head to the N&T blog to see what the full set looks like and to enter to win it, Danielle is giving one away to a lucky commenter.

I'll also be picking some winners for some of my new release products.  I'll be picking winners from comments both here and on Instagram.  So leave a comment here each day this week, and then head over to IG (@mprantner) for an extra chance.  I'll announce the winners on Friday.  One more day of new release goodness tomorrow, and I think you're going to like it!  See you then!
