Concord & 9th Christmas Turnabout Cards and a sale

So way back in October I got together with some of my crafty friends and had the chance to try out a couple of turnabout stamps.  I've been eyeing these for a while, so it was nice to be able to take them for a test drive.  I was hooked!

I stamped out a bunch of backgrounds to turn into cards later, and later is now!

These first two cards were created using the Deck the Halls Turnabout.

For this first one I was going for a rustic feel and stamped on Primitive Cream cardstock in two shades of green, brown, and red. The sentiment is from an older My Favorite Things set, matted and popped up.

The next card uses four shades of red, and I just love the way this looks.  Note:  all inks used on these cards was Altenew, but I stamped them so long ago, I'm not positive all the colors that were used unless it was a full stamp family in which case I'll let you know.

The sentiment is Neat & Tangled's Merry & Bright dies.  I also added some Clear Nuvo drops to the little circles in the pattern for a bit of extra shine and texture.

The next three cards feature the Snowflakes Turnabout.  This first one was stamped with the Sea Shore ink family.

The sentiment is also from the Snowflake Turnabout set.

Next, a card stamped with the Glacier Caves stamp family.

The sentiment was created using some older Tim Holtz dies and was adhered to a mat that was embossed with holographic embossing powder for some subtle, but effective sparkle.

Finally, my favorite card.  It was stamped with grays and one layer was embossed in silver.

The sentiment die is an older Studio Calico die.  It was cut with white cardstock and the embossed three times using silver embossing powder to get that great puffy look.  To make it pop a bit, I cut the die from dark gray cardstock and adhered it slightly offset to the die.

This was then placed over a light gray circle die cut.

I really love these turnabouts and ended up picking up a couple during the post-Thanksgiving sales. They make such an impact and they are so easy to use!

I also wanted to let you know that the second December Deals sale from Neat & Tangled is live.  This weekend you can get 25% off all in-stock dies using code DECEMBERDEAL2.

There are a lot of sell outs right now, but still plenty of goodies in stock.  Hope you're able to find something you've been wanting!
