Then Comes the Sun

Hey everyone!  I'm over on the Neat & Tangled blog today sharing this card.

I used a no-line color/painting technique with my Fractal Cloud set.  The cloud was stamped with Antique Linen distress ink (I would have used gray...if you saw my craft space this would not be shocking).

Then I painted the cloud in using my black Kuretake Gansai watercolor pan, just varied how watered down the pigment was for each section.



The set comes with these great gemstone like raindrops, but I wanted the focus to be just on the cloud and sentiment, so I painted in a some very thin subtle rain drops instead of using the stamped images.

The painting takes a bit of time, but if you've wanted to try no-line watercoloring, it's a discrete shape, and all straight lines, so it's a good one to try the technique out on.
