Neat & Tangled July Release Week - Day 1 - Giveaways
Hey everyone! It's release week at Neat & Tangled! I've got a couple things in this month's release, including the stamp set we're featuring today, Faceted.
This is a full A2 sized background, and as a result we're bringing you a new stamp set size, 6x8.
For my card today I stamped the background with Iced Spruce Distress Ink on watercolor paper and then colored the background using just one color from my Kuretake Gansai watercolors, black. I just varied the amount of saturation in the facets to create the look. I also sprayed a light mist of water mixed with Perfect Pearls to add a little shimmer to the background.
The sentiment was embossed in silver on black. I added a small mat of silver glitter paper beneath the sentiment piece and some silver thread finished it off.
My second card today features a new embellishment in the Neat & Tangled shop, vellum circles. There are three mixes of colors. I'm using the neutrals here, but the colors are gorgeous and vivid and bright and you'll definitely be seeing those soon.
For this card I laid out the circles in the rough outline of a garland. I stitched over them several times with gold thread, and added a few sequins (from the autumn mix and crystal clear) for accents. The sentiment, from Faceted, was embossed with Egyptian Gold embossing powder and I added a thin strip of gold cardstock at the bottom of the panel to ground the card.
OK, I mentioned giveaways right? I'm picking two lucky commenters from my release week posts this week, one will win this stamp set, the other my second new product that will get revealed later this week.
Now you definitely want to head over to the Neat & Tangled blog. The girls have some AMAZING things to share on the blog and Danielle is giving away a Faceted stamp set too.
