I'm really excited today to be introducing three new stencils. I'm a huge fan of stencils and they are a lot of fun to design. I featured the Parquet stencil on Tuesday with my Kitty card, so today I am showing off the other new stencils.
First up Geometric Blooms. For this one, I tacked my stencil down and then added Worn Lipstick distress ink with my ink blending tool. Then I went back with an ink dauber and some Scattered Straw distress ink in the center of the flowers.

I used a heat tool to make sure the panel was extra dry and then used a Versamark pen (the brush side) to sketch in some ink in the center of the flowers, and embossed in gold.
The Awesome stencil and dies were perfect to finish the card off.
Next up the Pentagon stencil.

First I lightly traced around the pentagons on my panel, then I went in with Copics (four of the cool grays). Starting with the darkest color on the outside I went around the shape with a thickish line, then I went around the shape again, slightly overlapping the other color but on the inside of it. This was repeated for the rest of the shades. This is a really easy technique. I wasn't trying to be really careful or consistent with the thickness of each row of coloring, and you really don't have to. I think the technique works best with smaller shapes/openings, but that might also be because I don't have a ton of Copics.
The sentiment is from the new Hello You set that was previewed on Monday.
OK, time to stop by the Neat & Tangled blog. Danielle is giving away some stencils there and of course I'll be drawing some winners next week too.
