STAMPtember, Layered Number Stencils

Hi friends!  Today I am sharing a couple cards created using my new Layered Number Stencils.  These coordinate with the previously released Layered Alpha stencils and work in the same way.

For this first card, I used Tropic, Ocean, and Royal.

The stenciled panel was trimmed down, I added a black mat and a couple of sentiments from the Reverse Sassy Birthday Sentiment Strips.

Super quick and easy.

This next card is a bit more involved.

I thought that the combination of Layered Alphas and Numbers would be perfect for a back to school card.

I used Cherry, Cadette, and Sunbeam for my different stenciled layers.

Then I stamped the large border image from the Take Note stamp set, colored the images with Copics using RV13, RV14, and RV17 for the pinks, Y4, Y8, and Y18 for the yellows, and B12, B14, and B18 for the blues.  I also used cool grays for the accents.

Because the stamped images have those crisp black lines, I wanted to make sure the stenciled letters and numbers were balanced, so I added some doodles around them.

The stamped images were then fussy cut and popped up over my stenciled panel.

I chose a sentiment from the XL Student Greetings set which was also popped up.

Layered Alpha Noel

I've got a quick Christmas card to share today mixing some non-holiday with older holiday products from Simon Says Stamp.

I started by inking up NOEL using my Layered Alpha stencils using Cherry, Watermelon, and Pearfection.

I thought it would be fun to contrast the more rustic/graphic look of the letters with some delicate sparkly snowflakes, so the top and bottom edges of the panel were stamped using the Snowflake Edges set and embossed with WOW! Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter.

To pull some of the color from the letters out, I added some soft inking around the edges of the card using Pearfection, and then added some colored accents to the snowflakes using Copics (R12, R35, and R43).

A couple colored mats finished things off.

SSS, Take Note and Layered Alphas

Super quick card today.  I pulled out my Layered Alpha stencils and inked them up using Marine, Cadette, and Royal.

The panel was trimmed down to create a horizontal piece for my card.  I love how it really just looks like a piece of patterned paper.

I added a black mat to set it off, and then adhered it over a turquoise mat on my card.  Originally I was going to leave it perfectly horizontal, but then thought it would be fun to tilt it a bit.

The sentiment is from the Take Note stamp set.  It was stamped with Versafine and then fussy cut to look like die cutting because I have somehow misplaced the coordinating dies.....if you could see the state of my crafting space you would understand....

I added a secondary sentiment, also from the Take Note set just below it, embossed in white on some black cardstock. 

The sentiment pieces were popped up with foam adhesive as well.

I thought about adding some sequins, but decided this would probably go to a guy and so decided to leave it on the plainer side.

This was super quick and easy and since the Layered Alphas stencil set has four rows of letters, you could easily get two cards in one go.

Simon Says Stamp Happy and Joyful Release

Happy Wednesday!  It's release day at Simon Says Stamp.  The Happy and Joyful release has some really fun products including a couple of my designs:

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards using the Layered Alpha stencils.  I designed these quite a while ago and have been waiting impatiently for them, so I'm thrilled they are finally available.

For my first card today I inked up the stencils using Cadette, Sage, and Cappuccino Pawsitively Saturated ink.

I then fussy cut the letters that I wanted to use for my sentiment.

These were popped up with foam tape over a background created by stamping the Soft Plaid background on kraft cardstock with Latte.

Next up, my very first Christmas card for the year!  

The letters J, O, and Y are kind of in a column, so it was pretty easy to just ink those up, but it's also very easy to just mask off the letters you're wanting to use to save your cardstock too.

This time I used Marine, Sprout, and Guava ink.

The letters were again fussy cut, and for this card I adhered them directly to my panel.  A secondary sentiment was stamped beneath.

To add some texture and interest, I added some stars to the panel using the previously released Scattered Stars stencil with embossing paste, and I sprinkled some Prisma glitter over the starts while the paste was still wet for a little holiday sparkle.

The panel was then popped up over my card base.
