Ready for another color challenge from MFT?
I had to scramble at the last minute because I somehow completed a card without realizing I was missing one of the colors...you'll get to see that card another day, but here's my second attempt at the color challenge using ALL the colors.
I am totally smitten with the new Roses All Over Background, there are so many possibilities and it's perfect for so many techniques. For this one I embossed a panel of watercolor paper in gold and then watercolored (kind of) the flowers. I say kind of because I discovered that the hybrid inks (of which I used three) don't watercolor that well, so for those I ended up using a dauber to add color in the centers of the flowers and then used some Distress Markers to get the edges/add some highlights on the edges of the flowers.
I added some vellum just behind the sentiment die cut to soften the background a bit.
Head over to the blog to check out the cards from the rest of the DT, you won't be disappointed!
