I thought I would play along with today's Summer School session at My Favorite Things.
If you haven't gotten a chance to check it out yet, you definitely want to. There are lessons each day, and if you do your homework and link up a project featuring that lesson by noon on August 21st, you're entered to win prizes!
Today's lesson is about Color Temperature. You've got your warms, your cools, and your neutrals. I ended up making a card for each because I was just having so much fun, and these were very easy cards to make, easily mass producible.
I started by clear embossing the Balloon Strings background on three pieces of watercolor paper. These were then colored with Kuretake watercolors in each of the three color temperature families.
Once they were dry, I ironed off the embossing and then stamped the sentiments in Versafine. The beauty of Versafine is that you can then clear emboss it because it stays sticky a bit longer.
I added a coordinating mat and card base to match the warm/cool/neutral themes on the cards, and voila.
Be sure to stop by the MFT blog to view the full lesson and get the details on how to win!
