May the Fourth
Happy Star Wars Day! I'm over on the Neat & Tangled blog today, AND playing along with my friends Marcie and Jessica as we showcase some fun May the Fourth themed projects.
I feel like I'm a little bit of a one-hit wonder when it comes to this A Long Time Ago set. I tried VERY hard to make something besides a watercolored galaxy scene, but nothing I was working on really stuck, and the fact of the matter is, I kind of love making watercolored galaxy scenes, so I acquiesed to my inner longing to watercolor and this is what I came up with.
Pretty simple. I created my panel using Kuretake Gansai watercolors. I usually make the panel a bit bigger and then trim it down. Then I stamped/embossed the sentiment.
I thought the star patterned paper was a great way to extend the star field and I used some American Crafts Adhesive Foam circles to pop the watercolored panel up. They are a little bit thicker than my normal Scotch foam adhesive, but I think it gives it a little more drama.
Please stop by and see what Marcie and Jessica created, AND, to celebrate May the Fourth, Danielle is giving away an A Long Time Ago stamp set on the Neat & Tangled Facebook Page today too. It's a quick giveaway, so be sure to stop by over there as the winner will be announced tonight.
