I love this image with the two hugging squirrels in the big acorn. It was stamped with Memento and colored with Copics. There are coordinating dies, but I opted for fussy cutting. When an image doesn't have a lot of nooks and crannies and I'm coloring with Copics I'll sometimes fussy cut because it means I don't have to be careful with the coloring in terms of staying in the lines. I feel like when I'm not worried about bleeding I end up with better blending.
One other little coloring trick. When I colored the leaves they were really bright and vivid, to dull the color a bit, I just colored over all the green with a light tan color.
Anyway, kept this one very clean and simple. I used a simple grid pattern from a Studio Calico pad, added some splatter and a few sequins, and popped up the acorn and the banner, which is from my Scalloped die set.
I mentioned a giveaway right? I'll pick one lucky commenter from my release week posts this week to win my new stamp set. For an extra chance, follow me on instagram (@mprantner) and leave another comment. You definitely want to stop by the Neat & Tangled blog too. Danielle is giving away one of these stamps sets and you have to see what the rest of the team created!
See you back here tomorrow for another reveal!
