Neat & Tangled January Release Week Day 3 - Giveaway
Hey everyone! Today's the day we get to show off my new stamp set/dies, Calathea. Calatheas are a type of houseplant with really bold showy leaves. There are lots of different varieties, but I chose my four favorites to showcase. This set works if you want to do layered stamping in solids, as well as if you want outlines for coloring.
For this first card, I chose to use the outline images for some no line watercoloring. The image was stamped with Antique Linen distress ink on watercolor paper and then colored with Kuretake Gansai watercolors.
I used three different patterned papers to create a grid like background/mat with a bit of stitching for texture. But, I think you could easily make a really lovely CAS set of cards with just the simple watercolored panel.
This next card shows off the smallest of the leaves. I created my own patterned paper alternating the base shade for the leaf. I used Altenew inks here as I love the coverage they provide.
Again, a very simple finish, stamping the sentiment on a circle die cut layered over the stitched circle from the Making Waves dies.
For this last card, I used the coordinating dies. Although this specific die is for one of the inside portions of the leaf, I'm using it on it's own here, alternating colors and orientation.
I also wanted to show you how the sentiments work together. My husband always complains because the insides of my cards have no words. Several of the sentiments in this set work together, so you can complete a thought on the inside of the card.
Phew! That's all for me today. Hopefully this gives you an idea of the versatility of this set. Leave me a comment and you'll be entered to win this set. For an extra entry, share about this new set on Facebook or Instagram and leave another comment. Be sure to head over to the Neat & Tangled blog next. Danielle is giving away a set too, and you've got to see how the rest of the team used the set.
Tomorrow is the last day of our reveals! I'll see you then!
