Ready for Day 3? Today we're showing off my new stencil and cover plate, Scalloped.
This is a great versatile pattern which is almost chameleon like. It can be so many things, after we showed a sneak peek on Facebook, one commenter thought it was mermaid scales. I hadn't even thought of that application, but I love it!
I thought the strong man from Big Top Birthday was the perfect guy to have on stage for this one, and a I used a bit of woodgrain cardstock for the stage itself.
This was so much fun to put together, I must admit that I smiled the whole time.
My next card uses the stencil.
I used the scallops to mimic grass as well as sky/clouds.
Instead of coloring my paste before I started, I used gelatos directly on the stencil itself and the spread paste over top of the gelato. The gelato will still color the paste, but in a more textured, uneven way.
The little chick from Eggstra special (which was highlighted on Monday) and a sentiment from that set completed my scene.
