Neat & Tangled May Release - Day 3 - Giveaways
Today is the third day of Neat & Tangled May release product reveals, and today the team is showing off another new set from Elena Roussakis, Prehistoric.
I'm also showing off a new stencil, Swirly Twirly, which I used to add some great texture to the card.
I started out by cutting two panels the same size. One of the panels I then die cut an oval from. I used that frame as a guide in stamping the images. I did a bit of masking to get the guy to sit on the mastodon, and then colored the images with Copics.
Once that was done, I used the oval frame to center the die cut oval which was tacked to the stamped panel with some temporary adhesive. Then I placed the stencil over the entire piece and spread embossing paste over top. It adds some fantastic texture that's hard to see in the photo above, but you can see it in the detail shot below.
After removing the stencil, I also removed the die cut oval piece which was protecting the stamping/coloring, and set the piece aside to dry.
Once the panel was dry I popped it up over some patterned paper and added a sentiment from the our Topography set which was stamped on one of the tags from Classic Tag 2 what was trimmed down a bit.
OK, head on over to the Neat & Tangled blog to take a look at the projects from the rest of the design team, and to enter to win this stamp set and coordinating dies. I'm also giving away some new products on the blog this week. Just leave a comment on each of my release week posts to be entered. See you back here tomorrow for our final day of reveals!
