Neat & Tangled April Release - Day 2 and Giveaways


It's Day 2 of the Neat & Tangled April release and today we're showing off the newest set from Elena, Mommy, Daddy & Me.  I'm totally smitten with the images in this set, they are the cutest!

Today I'm working with the elephant pair.  I stamped them and the little butterfly on kraft and colored them with my Prismacolor pencils.  Don't you love the way coloring on kraft looks?

My helpful hint for the day is that I stamped the images with my MISTI, and left the stamps in the MISTI because when you color with pencils as opposed to markers, if you get some pencil on your stamped lines, it will dull them/leave a residue, so after I was done coloring, I popped the panel back into the MISTI and stamped again.  This sharpens everything up again, giving me nice crisp stamped lines.


I used the largest die from the Scalloped set to create a mat for my colored panel, stamped the sentiment, and that was it.

    I love how simple, but so pretty this card is!
    And yes, L*O*V*E the pencil coloring on kraft.
    One of my very favorite styles, esp. white on kraft.

    I adore these cute little elephants! I agree with you coloring on Kraft cardstock is one of my favorite things to do. I like your trick of using the Misti to restamp
