MFT Color Challenge 34

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope that you're enjoying some good food and great family time.

Once you're done celebrating, maybe you can play along with our new color challenge.

I pulled out the new Chunky Chevron Cover-Up.

I had all sorts of leftovers after I finished my official card, so I thought I would create some other cards and show some different ways to use the cover up.

For this second card I cut off the top two and bottom two rows and used them to frame a center sentiment.

Similarly, for this card I trimmed off two columns and also used a combination of inlaid and popped up and slightly offset chevrons.

Please stop by the blog and check out what the other ladies created and have a great Thanksgiving!

MFT Sketch 256

Another Wednesday, another sketch from MFT.

I went very CAS this week, creating a one layer card, which is not normal for me.

I love the dogs in the new Top Dog set.  They were stamped and colored with Copics with the sentiment acting as the middle feather.

OK, super quick today, there is a lot of food/Thanksgiving prep to do!

Be sure to stop by the blog to see what the rest of the team created!

Thankful Anemones

I thought I'd start out Thanksgiving Week with a thank you card.

I love the gorgeous florals in WPlus9's Watercolored Anemones set, but I'm not the greatest with multi-step stamps.

The good news is there's a full stamped image that you can use as a guide.  I stamped the full image on kraft with white pigment ink.  Then, with the help of a MISTI, stamped the individual parts of the flower in color.

Such a pretty look!

The sentiment is from an old Studio Calico set.

Hope your week is off to a great start.  I'm looking forward to a short work week and a lot of pie!

Christmas cards

So I've decided that the only sentiment set you really need this year is Hand Lettered Holidays.

It goes with everything!

I pulled out an old set (Cool Day) and a new set (Toasty Greetings).

No rocket science here.  Cute images, Copic coloring, and great sentiments.

Short and sweet today!

Hope your week is going well!

MFT Sketch 255

Time for a new sketch from MFT!

This week I kind of just used the sketch as a suggestion/jumping off point.

I wanted to use some of the cute images from the Merry Christmoose stamp set.  They were stamped on kraft cardstock with a bit of masking and then colored with Inktense pencils.  Then I used a wet paintbrush to soften/blend the coloring.

The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white.  I added a little twine bow and mini clothespin for embellishment.

Head over to the blog to check out what the rest of the team created.  Hope you'll join in!
