Father's Day Card

This is the Father's Day card we'll be making at my workshop next weekend. It was a ton of fun to put together!

The letters were cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge, and the sun, plane, and banner are from the Splendid Day set ($17.95). The plane and banner were stamped and then cut out. I also added a little extra shading to the ends of the banner to give it a little more depth. The sun was stamped directly on the white base piece. I used Goldrush and then very lightly rocked and rolled the rays with Autumn Terracotta.

Once I stamped the sun, I used my foam tool and cloud border that I sketched and cut out to ink the clouds. Then it was just a matter of putting it all together. I used Bonding Memories adhesive to adhere all the die cuts/fussy cut pieces, added a Pacifica mat and then adhered the whole thing to the card base. I've never made this size card before, but it's nice because it will fit into a letter size envelope so you don't have to go and purchase special ones.
