There Are No Small Miracles
Thought I would try my hand at the current Verve Diva Dare Just Give me Stamps, Buttons, and Bling, which is to create a card that is a mashup of Laurie and Maureen's styles.
I'm not sure how successful I was since I used enamel dots as my bling....do enamel dots count as bling? Also, the button that I used I 'blinged' up with an enamel dot.
I used the Wonderfully Made set, and all the papers are from My Mind's Eye's My Favorite Things 6x6 pad. Lots of fussy cutting, which might be why I like it so much. I used a strip of seafoam fabric that I had received in a Polka Dot Whimsy grab bag to mat the sentiment piece, and stitched around the entire main panel.
That soft gingham ribbon is also from Polka Dot Whimsy. I'm only so so about how that bow came out. My bowmaking skills need a bit of work, but I think it adds just the right soft touch to the card.
I'm also going to link this up over at Simon Says Stamp since it's Anything Goes week.
This is probably my last post for the month. We're heading out of town to visit Andrew's parents, for a couple days, although we'll be home for Easter. Hope that you guys have a wonderful rest of the week and a joyous Easter!

ReplyDeleteThis is so soft and pretty Miriam - and you can totally use those enamel dots as bling!!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of bling - in response to the question you asked earlier - it is kind of like a thick metal thread between the gems on the Gelly Gem roll-ups. Not too thick though - I use scissors to cut mine apart very successfully! I love this bling!
Love this card Miriam!!
