Artful Delight Friday - A Twofer

I love the bold chevron paper from My Mind's Eye Kate & Co in this month's Artful Delight kit, so I wanted to create a card using that as a main element.  I ended making two - using just one of the squares of paper.

For the first card, I used a thinner strip of the paper, fussy cut some of the black and white flowers from one of the Echo Park papers, as well as the sentiment piece which was from one of the journaling cards in at Kate & Co paper.  The little strips of pink and white are also from Kate & Co.  Some of the black twine finished it off.

My second card also features the stamp set in this month's kit, Lawn Fawn's Flutter By.  I embossed and fussy cut the butterfly on both white cardstock and vellum.  The cardstock piece was adhered directly to the patterned paper, and the vellum piece was adhered on top with liquid glass, just on the body and antennae.

I stamped the sentiment on that bright piece of patterned paper and slightly offset it over a vellum piece.  Below is bit of the beautiful lace in the kit.  The lace is much wider, but it's quite stiff and really retains it's shape, won't unravel on you, so I trimmed it down and adhered it with some more Liquid Glass.

Thanks so much for coming by today!  Hope that your week has gone well, we are definitely ready for the weekend here!

Supplies Used:  Artful Delight July Card Kit; CTMH - White Daisy Cardstock, Dimensional Foam Tape, Liquid Glass; American Crafts - Zing White Embossing Powder; Versamark; Tombow - Mono Adhesive; Recollections - Vellum

  18. Great cards, the colour palette is so awesome. Second one is my favourite because of the softness of the butterfly. :-)
