Happy Baby to Be to Erin Schreiner!
The GI12 girls are hosting a baby blog hop for the soon to be mama of two, and WCMD winner! If you're wondering about the name of the hop it's because she is a big Kansas fan.
I wanted to do something not too too traditional for this one.
I CASED an idea from Elena, and embossed a gorgeous, and big, doily die from CSS in the corner of the card. Then I used some distress inks to color/distress the card (it's actually a white base). The shelf (stamped in second generation) and the giraffe (stamped and colored on cardstock then cut out and adhered) are from Mama Elephant, and the sentiment is Avery Elle. A little burlap string finished it off. This was also my first brush with Copic markers and I really liked them!
I had a GREAT time creating this card for Erin because I own
absolutely nothing used in the making of this card, and I was in the presence of general awesomeness. I was so excited to
be able to have a 'sleepover' (which Ellie says is wrong because
grown-ups are too old for them), and crafty party with a few of my GI
buddies Monday-Tuesday. How fun to meet JJ, Jocelyn, and Tessa in
person! We had a great time, and stayed up way too late, but I was
able to get a few things made including this little number. Oh, and if
you were hoping for pictures....sorry! We were having so much fun we
pretty much forgot about that. I blame the Sparkletinis!
