Plane Awesome!
It's been a happy crafty weekend! I was able to get together with my GI buddies JJ and Tessa again last night for some crafting and chatting.
While I was there, I made this card for the Taylored Expressions birthday Sketch Selfie Share challenge.
These papers (with the exception of the woodgrain) are ChicTags. I've never used ChicTags papers before, but they are really thick, almost like cardstock, and some great patterns. Unfortunately in my haze of crafting I forgot to write down which collection the papers are from, but I'm definitely thinking I need some ore ChicTags paper in my life!
The woodgrain is Studio Calico and I actually used the Paper Smooches polaroid die to cut it, but then trimmed a little off the bottom to make it more of a frame and less of a polaroid.
The little plane and sentiment are from TE's Plane Awesome set, so cute! It was colored with Copics and then I softened the color a bit with a blending tool.
The clouds in the top of the frame were made using TE's cloud border die.
I will also report that I have finally tried using a stampamajig....now I might actually need one....
Thanks for coming by! Hope you are having a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteThis card makes me so happy...can't get enough polka dots and the way you have used them in the different colors is perfectly adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love your card but I am so envious that you got to craft with GI alumni! I wish I had others near me to craft with!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! And so jealous!! I love the little plane and you mixed the patterns together so well!!

Oooo! The first thing I noticed was those yummy papers. I didn't even know Chic Tags manufactured papers. Totally need to check those out! TFS! This is just too cute!

ReplyDeleteThis is just down-right ADORABLE!! :) I just love that punny sentiment too!! HUGS
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! Love this fun& cute card Miriam! :) also laughing that you now need a stamp-a-ma-gig! I'm wondering how you've gotten along w/ out one! Lol :)
ReplyDeleteYou know that I love all the patterns here, Miriam! I wished for a stamp-a-ma-gig, and got one, but unfortunately after only a few uses I am just too lazy to get it out (which is crazy considering the large amounts of time I spend on cards). I hope you fare better than I did : )
ReplyDeleteLove the design and all the patterns! l've had a stamp -a-ma-gig for years now and have never used it :-(
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable, Mim! What great inspiration for us to use those patterned papers in our stash!! I can't believe I stamped for over ten years w/out a SAMG and it embarrasses me to think you crooked my cards used to be. When I first got it, I didn't open it for several months because I didn't know what the heck I was supposed to do with it. Hey, what can I say! I finally watched a YouTube video ... talk about embarrassing! A toddler could use it, lol, and I wouldn't be without it now!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteAdore this!
ReplyDeleteThis is AMAZING! I love plane on the edge of the frame, so fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is if anyone is PLANE AWESOME it is you - everything you create makes me smile, feel awe for your talent and just feel amazed!! Thank you for the steady stream of inspiration I get from visiting here!!!
