First Day Flamingo
Hey everyone! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving (those in the states at least). Ours was great, lots of food, fun and of course family time. I was even able to get some scrapbooking done!
These photos are from Carina's first day in her new class, the Flamingos. I found her shirt on clearance at Gymboree and surprised her with it that day.
Carina was so excited to be a Flamingo. Ellie was a Crane, and was pulling for her to be in that class too, but Carina was very firm about wanting to be a Flamingo all along and her wish was granted.
The base page is from the AC Stitched line and all those flowers are fussy cut from a BG Grand Bazaar paper. They are partially adhered directly to the paper (the stems) and then I popped up the flower portions for some dimension.
After I had all the flowers adhered the papers I thought it was a little too pink, so I added a few pieces of Bella Blvd washi tape to blue it up.
It really felt good to get back to scrapbooking. I've got a little more time on my hands now (since I'm not submitting for publications as frequently) so I'm hoping to take advantage and scrapbook more regularly.
Thanks for stopping by!
