Hey everyone! Hope that you had a great weekend. I was able to get several assignments done, so I rewarded myself by creating a just for fun card.
I wanted to ink up another of the new Ellen Hutson sets, Bold Blooms. I used the Bold Blossoms stand alone dies in my post last week, and today I wanted to feature the stamp set.
I kept this very clean and simple. Each of the flowers was stamped multiple times (four times for the small ones and five times for the big ones). The flowers were then colored with Copics in graduating shades of red and then fussy cut and adhered with foam tape to create dimension.
My Copic collection is not as large as I would like so although I ended up with four layers to each of my flowers, I used only three Copic colors. The darkest I colored several times of the final layer to make the color deeper. Similarly for the leaves, I used only two colors...the middle portion of the leaf is the two colors blended together.
I love this look, the images remind me of stained glass.
Just a reminder, today is the last day to comment/complete the Ellen Hutson Winter 2015 Release Hop. There's a giveaway at each stop, and also the opportunity to win the entire release. Head to this post to start.
