MFT Sketch 228



It's Wednesday, time for another sketch from My Favorite Things!

This week I pulled out one of my favorite MFT sets ever, You're Super.



I turned the sketch upside down, and did some masking and inking.  The zig zag speech bubble was stamped (and masked) several times to create that circle, and then some masking and inking defined that vertical column.

Lest you think I magically learned how to color hair with Copics overnight, let me tell you a little secret, two actually:  1) I don't own a black Copic marker, something that I really need to remedy soon; 2) For this card I actually just colored the base with copics, but then for all that detail went in with a fine black journaling pen and just sketched in hair strands.



I really like how this turned out, it's got detail that doesn't happen when I do normal Copic hair coloring, and I'm seriously thinking about investing in some fine brown markers so I can do this with other colors of hair.
