Super Happy Birthday



Carina turns five on Thursday.  Crazy how quickly that happened!

I needed to create a birthday card for her, and I didn't even need to think twice about which set to use.

Carina loves superheros, so I just had to ink up this Super Girl for her.

I added a couple of star die cuts behind her.  The blue star is actually a random oops.  I had a different design for the card originally and had cut that star as a mask.  It's covered with some inking and watercolor as a result, but I kind of love the way it ended up looking, so I incorporated it into the final design.



The girl was colored with Copics and then cut out (there's a set of dies that I haven't gotten around to ordering yet, so I do 'faux die cutting' by leaving that little white border).

    Miriam what you are calling your 'oops' has really turned into the star of the show - pun intended =] Love the denim look you've achieved with it! Of course I adore your perfectly colored little super-girl, too. About kids growing up ... don't blink!

    Oh this is fabulous!! I LOVE that fun image you used. I had thought you did a fun treatment on that blue star. I could tell and was trying to figure it out before I read your explanation. Lovely card!! Happy Belated Birthday!

    The colors on this are amazing!! I hope your daughter loves it! The stars are perfect! Awesome card! I just got some chameleon pens but will start adding copics too. I am excited to color stamps!
