Stitching with stamps

Here's another one of the projects I worked on on the plane last month.

I love this Altenew stamp set, and I thought the portions of the flowers with more details were perfect as guidelines for stitching.

I wanted a full look to the stitching, almost like crewel.  This takes a bit more time and you have to think a little more about where to place your stitches, but I really love the overall effect.

I thought about doing some additional stitching in the other petals, but opted for the more minimalist approach.

A bit of copic coloring in the center of the flowers finished this off.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

  4. This is just too amazing Miriam! The stitches came out so gorgeously and the flowers are so lovely! This is like doing embroidery but on paper! I've done embroidery for many years but never thought of applying it to papercrafting. Thanks so much for the stunning inspiration Miriam. Hope you have a lovely Monday - Christina
