So, I decided the world needed a cowbell stamp set.
For those of you who are in need of a good set for masculine cards, this set will work perfectly.
I kept this card pretty simple and resisted the urge to 'pretty it up'.
The cowbell and sentiments were stamped in Versafine and then painted with my Kuretake Gansai watercolors. My set has some metallics in it, so I was able to use the bronze color to give it a little shine.
I also added some bits of patterned paper to the top and bottom borders of the stamped panel as embellishment before I popped it up on the card.
OK, that's all for me today. I'll be giving away this set at the end of the week, so be sure to leave a comment and then head over to the Neat & Tangled blog because Danielle has some giveaways over there too!
So awesome, Miriam!! Loving the cowbell!
ReplyDeleteSo fun Miriam!!!!! It must be so much fun having a cowbell in the house...lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the funniest stamp sets I've seen in a while, and it is a must-have for me. Thanks so much for making it! I agree that the world needs it. I live in a house of guys (2 sons and hubby) and this will make a fantastic birthday card--maybe with a balloon tied to the cowbell and a party hat on it. And your card and story about your daughter wanting a cowbell are great!
ReplyDeleteHow funny! This set is perfect for masculine cards like yours.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't familiar with the SNL skit, but we see (and hear!) lots of cowbells at our Sacramento Kings games here in northern CA!
