Valentines for the Girls

I thought I would whip up some Valentines day cards for the girls this week.

They are getting pickier and pickier as they get older.  And lately they've been wanting less "babyish" stuff.  In fact they shot down all my ideas for punny valentines in favor of "Happy Valentines Day" pffft.

So, I thought I would disguise the cute a bit with these cards.

I used some old Amy Tangerine AC papers for the outside of the cards.  For Carina's since the paper was busy/decorative enough, I just stamped the "Hiya!" on the front and that was it.  For Ellie's I added an acetate element, some twine and sequins.  Pretty simple, but just enough to keep it from being too plain.

The girls are still fans of all things emoji, apparently these are not babyish, so I pulled out my Pixelated Circle, Faces, and Sentiments and went to town.

I debated stamping the sentiment on the top vs. bottom of the card, but since I want to write a bit on these, the bottom works better.

Now I need to start on the class valentines!
