Welcome back for Day 3 of the Neat & Tangled release. Today we're showing off my new stamp set and coordinating/stand alone dies. I'm SO excited about these new products. There are so many possibilities, I think you're really going to enjoy working with it.
This first card features the stamp set. I penciled in a vertical and horizontal guide line, to help me place the central flower/design, but the rest of the stamped images were eyeballed.
I die cut a curved edge for the bottom of the panel and embossed the sentiment in gold. I also added some gold embossed elements to the center of the stamped design as well as a layered sequin as an accent.
OK, now for the dies. There are two types of dies in this set. Some that cut coordinating shapes - so you can die cut the stamped images, and some that are standalone. Today I'm showing off the standalone dies. I cut a bunch of them in black, green, and orange. I saved the negative cut inside pieces, and ran the large leaf/petal pieces through my Xyron.
For this first card, the petals were arranged so some would fall off the edge of the card, and then I inlaid some of the colored pieces. The Hello sentiment is from our Square Thoughts set.
For this next card I went with a single color inlay and layered two of the circle dies that come in the set for the center of the flower. I traced the bottom of a fishtail banner to add some interest to the card. I really love the graphic punch it gives.
The sentiment is from the stamp set. I also want to point out that there are two versions of these leaf dies. One is a little wider than the other. For the first card I used the wider pieces, this one features the slimmer ones.
Finally, I had all those leftover leaf pieces whose innards I had used on the prior cards, so I just arranged them on a panel to create a simple pattern.
I really feel like I'm just scratching the surface with these cards. I'm really excited to do some more playing and experimenting!
