Neat & Tangled May Release - Day 1 - Giveaways
Hey everyone! Are you ready for this month's Neat & Tangled release? We took April off, so I'm really excited to be getting back into the swing of things. I've got several items in this release that you'll see in the next few days, but today I"m showcasing Danielle's new Triangle Pattern Builder stamp set.
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of anything geometric so these triangles are right up my alley. I decided to focus on the stamps, but there are also coordinating dies that open up a whole range of possibilities. The nice thing about playing with geometrics is it's really easy to create a high impact one layer card.
I saw this image on Pinterest a while back, and wanted to recreated it with this first card using the second largest and smallest triangles. This didn't turn out quite how I had planned. I wanted to do some reverse stamp kissing so that the small triangles would stamp a pattern, but it was not working for me. So instead, I ended up stamping solid black triangles. I still wanted some texture/pattern though, so I used a Versamark pen to add some stripes and embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
I also stamped in the other 'negative' spaces using WPlus9 Fairy Dust ink. It's a very soft subtle gray tone that's hard to pick up in the photos, but adds some extra depth in real life. The sentiment is from my Medallion Flower Builder set.
For this next card I used the three largest triangles and the same color scheme, but with increasingly darker shades. So easy and graphic. I wanted those stamped images to be the star, so a simple/small sentiment from Origami Map was the perfect finishing touch.
OK, that's all I have to share today, but I mentioned giveaways right? Well, I'm going to picking a few winners from comments this week to receive some of my new release products. If you follow my blog leave an extra comment for an extra entry. You'll also want to swing over to the Neat & Tangled blog as Danielle is giving away all the products featured today to one lucky commenter. See you back here tomorrow for my first product reveal!
