Today is the last day of release reveals for the Neat & Tangled January release. Everything will be available for purchase tomorrow morning at 8 AM EST.
There are two mini sets being featured today, and I'm sharing a card created using the Dazzling set designed by Danielle.
I love the crystal/gem formations and really wanted to feature them. I am usually utterly opposed to cutting up my stamps, but I can see myself using the central element in the image singly for other projects so I went ahead an did it.
I first stamped the crystals on a post it note to use as a mask, and then repeated the design along the borders of my panel.
The coloring is really simple. No shading, just three shades each of three colors using the darker two shades on the bottom portions of the crystals and the lighter two on the top.
The sentiment is from the You're a Gem set.

Wow, Miriam! This is a stunner!! Amazing border and I love the colors you used. Like you, I'm very hesitant to cut up my stamps but you did an amazing job with this. If I get this set, I'd probably have to get two - one to leave as is and one to cut up. :)

this is so cool!! I have cut a few stamps apart before, and it's a little scary! But I think you made a good choice with this one; this gem border is fabulous!
