It's time for Day 2 of Neat & Tangled's September Release, and we've got something exciting and new and fun today! A while back we did a collaboration week with Benzie Design and we liked them so much that we thought we should do more together.
The folks at Benzie have designed a couple stitching die sets for Neat & Tangled that I think you are really going to like. The first set is called Stitched Clouds and includes two sizes of clouds and a small heart. I created a little cloud pillow using some Smoke Felt. I also cut out a little square to create a pocket for my pillow.
The heart was cut from Carmine felt and stitched to the pocket which was then stitched to the cloud (this was all done before I stitched up/stuffed the cloud).
Isn't it the cutest? This would be perfect for a tooth fairy pillow, or for little encouragement notes for your kids.
The second Benzie set is a Stitched Unicorn set. It makes the cutest little unicorn stuffed animal, but you can also use these dies with paper.
For this card, I cut the body and mane of the unicorn from white cardstock, and then stitched them together with some gold metallic DMC thread.
The frame is actually the Succulent Journaling Card die, but I snipped out the succulent images. The sentiment is from So Many Sentiments.
A subtle pink patterned paper serves as a base for the unicorn. The metallic floss was pretty bulky, so I adhered the unicorn with foam tape, and then the frame with two layers of foam. I had to cut the foam tape verrrry thin for the frame, but it works.
For some accents, I cut the Lucky Stars dies from sparkly gold paper using one for the unicorn's eye as well.
OK, that's all for me today. Be sure to head over to the Neat & Tangled blog to see what the rest of the team created and to be entered to win these goodies.
Leave a comment here as well, I'll be picking a couple winners at the end of the week to win one of my new release products.
