As with any good hop there are prizes involved. One person from each stop will win a $25 gift card for Simon Says Stamp! All you have to do is leave a comment. There is also a fun promotion this weekend. You can get this cute cupcake stamp free with any order using code YUM20.
Today, I wanted to show off the Interlocking Circles Stencil Set that I designed for this release. A couple days ago I showed off the Wavy Circles Background creating two 'same but different' cards, and I thought I would do the same today with the stencils.
This is a set of four stencils that work together to create the overall design. For my first card I wanted a soft, pretty look. I used Cheeky, Melon, and Sunbeam Pawsitively Saturated inks for three of the layers, and for the smallest little little eye shapes, I used gold embossing paste.
I trimmed my panel down and layered it over a scalloped mat, and then finished it off with one of the sentiments from the Clean Line Stacks set embossed in gold.
I die cut the sentiment, and also die cut a piece of pink cardstock. The pink piece was adhered directly to my card, and then the sentiment was popped up with foam tape over top, slightly offset.
This next card has a totally different look, but it's basically the same technique. This time I selected a piece of very subtle patterned paper to stencil on. Stenciling can often look a little flat, and I think stenciling on patterned paper just adds a bit of extra depth and texture.
I went with a tone on tone color scheme here, using Latte, Cappuccino, and Mocha Pawsitively Saturated Inks for three of the stencil layers. For the diamond shaped layer, I used embossing paste.
Once dry, the panel was trimmed down and I added a dark brown mat to really make it pop.
I went with the simple You Matter die to complete the look.
I love the contrast of these cards!
That's all for me today. Don't forget to leave a comment to be entered to with the gift card! Your next stop is Bibi Cameron, and the full hop list is below if you need it. Thanks for visiting and happy hopping!
