Tucked into Simon's Dream Big release were two cute little Cut and Emboss Folders. The one I'm showing off today is the Harvest folder.
As soon as I saw these, especially this one, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas photo ornament.
I started by embossing/cutting a piece of green cardstock. After trimming it down to size, I added 'gilding' to the embossed areas using gold paint. I used the Hero Arts Gold Glimmer Metallic Ink and a fine detail brush. It was a bit fiddly, but not too hard to paint the raised areas.
Once the piece was dry, I adhered a photo inside and added a plain piece of green cardstock for the back.
I punched two small holes in the top corners and added some ribbon and that was it.
These would be fun to tuck into Christmas cards for some special relatives/friends.
