It's release day at Simon Says Stamp! Today I'm showing off a new background called Angularium.
If you love geometric designs like me, this background will be right up your alley. For my first card, I stamped two backgrounds, one using Lemonade and a second using Sprout.
I trimmed down both backgrounds to the same size, and then fussy cut them along the same line.
The top of the Lemonade background and the bottom of the Sprout background were popped up over a panel of black cardstock just slightly offset.
A sentiment from the Reverse Chill Summer sentiment strips was popped up over top to finish things off.
For this next card, I also went for a two tone look.
I started with a piece of medium gray cardstock, and stamped the background using Antique Linen, Spun Sugar, and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxides to create an ombre look.
The panel was adhered directly to my card base, and then I added a sentiment using the You Shine dies. The shadow piece for each word was cut from that medium gray cardstock, and the letters themselves from Matte Champagne cardstock.
That's all for me today. Be sure to head over to Simon to check out the full release, including my latest design for Simon, Parallelogram:
I'll be back tomorrow with more Be Creative inspiration!
That tone on tone blue floral is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if this is the right place to leave a comment for the SSS Just For You release Blog Hop.....I hope so! I had a hard time finding your comment section because I kept getting some weird page. Anyway, I do like your cards even though I'm not usually a geometric fan, so nicely done! I tried to scroll up to see the first card you made again, but it's not there anymore. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.........
