I really love the Floral Whimsy stencils that are part of the STAMPtember release. They create such a great, versatile background.
My first card today utilized a monochromatic color scheme. I used a soft warm gray cardstock and then Fawn, Cozy and Woodsy inks for the different stencil layers. I actually used Woodsy twice. Once for the leaves/stems and once with very soft hand for the little dots.
The sentiment, from Plant Sentiments, was also stamped with Woodsy.
For this next card, I used Aspen for the leaves, and Peachy and Cheeky for the flowers. I used Cheeky for the larger flowers and it was a little pinker than I wanted, so I ended up going back with a bit of Latte to soften/dull it a bit. I also used Latte for the little dots.
The sentiment is again from the Plant Sentiments set.
These stencils really do create the prettiest backgrounds, don't you think?
