Hi friends! Today I'm showing off my new Christmas Block Art stamp set. The set creates three different block print type images each of which consists of two pieces, the image, and the negative space. It's also designed so that the images don't fix together exactly. That's so if you're a bad stamper, like me, you don't have to try and struggle to line things up perfectly. I think it also adds to the block print feel of the set.
My first card is super simple and straight forward. I stamped the negative piece using Cherry ink, and the Christmas tree using Pine.
The sentiment, also from the set, was stamped with Versa Clair black ink beneath.
For a bit of interest and texture, I added stitching around the panel.
My second card is very similar, but to mix things up, this time I used Tim Holtz Embossing Glaze.
I used Fossilized Amber for the star, and Chipped Sapphire for the negative space. The sentiment was again stamped with Versa Clair black, and I also added stitching to this card.
I changed things up for my last card.
I started by marking the center point on my white panel, and then positioned the negative snowflake image to one side of it. I stamped that with Marine. Then I took the panel out of my stamping platform, turned it 180 degrees, and stamped again, this time using Royal.
I then removed the negative image and added the positive one, reversing the colors so that I stamped a Marine snowflake where there was a Royal negative image and vice versa.
The sentiment is from the From All of Us Sentiment Strips set and was popped up with foam tape.
These cards were all very quick and easy to put together. I designed this set with mass production in mind. There are lots of different ways to dress things up with this set, but it's also really easy to make a whole bunch of cards very quickly.
There are dies that coordinate with the set too, and I'll be back later t his week to share some fun ideas with those.
