Today I'm sharing a fun inky card created using the Delicate Blossoms Background.
I started with one the of the inky panels from my stash that i created a while back using Distress Spritzes. This one honestly wasn't my favorite, it was just kind of bland and didn't have much color saturation.
When I create a panel like this, I don't throw them away, they end up being the base layer of something else. I started by stamping the background on my panel using Versaclair Black ink, and then clear embossing.
I then sprayed the panel with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Spray, Speckled Egg Distress Spray, and Saltwater Taffy Distress Spritz to deepen the colors. Once this was dry, I sprayed some Hickory Smoke Distress Spray onto my craft mat and used a brush to pain the negative space areas. After everything had dried, I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to my card base.
The sentiment is also from the Delicate Blossoms Background set and was white embossed onto a piece of watercolor paper. The panel was then inked with Hickory Smoke as well as a bit of Speckled Egg to echo the colors from the background. I added a thin black mat to the sentiment piece and popped it up for some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!
