Avery Elle Guest Post - Papel Picado - Mid Hunt Snack

I've got another Avery Elle guest post for you today, and I'm showcasing Papel Picado again.

My last Papel Picado project was bright and bold, today's project is a much different look at the set.

I pulled out some old Easter photos, and by old, I mean last year's Easter photos (haven't even printed this  year's yet...).  Each of the banner pieces was stamped in second generation to get a softer color/feel.  Then I added some twine to 'tie' the pieces together.

On the bottom of the layout I fussy cut each of the banner pieces and overlapped them a bit.  Avery Elle actually has a set of dies that would have made this process so much easier....they are on my list of things to get!  I stitched the bottom layer of banner pieces onto the page and then added stitching to each of the popped out pieces before adhering them.

The papers and tags are from Elle's Studio and I added some enamel dots as accents too.

Thanks so much for coming by today!

  13. Hi Miriam, I know this post is 3 years old but I am wondering if you still have this stamp set? It's been discontinued and I can't find it for sale anywhere. Our school is hosting a fiesta themed Teacher Appreciation lunch and I want to make the invites using this. If you still have it, would you be willing to part with it? I would gladly purchase it from you. Thank you! Jennifer
