Hey everyone! I'm here to share a card for my second Avery Elle guest post. This card features the Simply Tags: Everyday set and dies.
This versatile set (as well as the coordinating dies) was designed by my friend Nina Yang.
For my card I cut two tags, one with the patterned paper and the other in white cardstock to act as the base. To get the curved cut out on the patterned paper, I used one of the Modern Leaves dies (designed by another friend JJ Bolton), taping it to the patterned tag and running it through my die cutting machine again. I adhered the patterned pieces and reinforcer to the base tag and stamped the sentiment. Some seam binding and May Arts twine finished off the tag.
For the background I started with a piece of Slate cardstock and then cut strips of White and Slate cardstock in varying widths and adhered them.
I stamped the secondary sentiment and then adhered the tag using two layers of dimensional foam tape.
Hope you like the card. Nina even created a card sketch for folks to use. If you make a card using the sketch, please let me know, I'd love to see it.
Thanks so much for coming by! I'll have another Avery Elle project to share with you next week.
