Going for a ride
Scraptastic Kit Club is celebrating their third anniversary with a crop, and I thought I would try and play along with some challenges. This is my first layout. The challenge was to use three photos and three patterned papers.
I chose some photos from our vacation last summer to Lake Lanier. My sisters rented some of these stand up paddle boards and before they went out themselves, took each of the girls out for a little ride.
Since we were a little worried about sending Carina out there, Lydia ended up sitting on the board with her and paddling and Esther swam alongside. We're all about safety here folks!
Anyway, I chose three papers, one from AC's XOXO line (the ruled paper), and two from GCD's Sunkissed line (the waves and base paper). I fussy cut the wave paper to anchor the bottom of the photo portion. Now you might be wondering about that fourth print at the top of the paper - by happy coincidence that is the print on the reverse of the ruled paper, perfect to have water below and sky above, no?
The entire central portion was stitched around the edge. I added some enamel dots and an Elle's Studio tag, and wrote my journaling on the wave paper, following the wavy lines.
Hoping to get at least one more layout done for Scraptastic this evening, so no time to chit chat. Have a great evening!
