I thought I'd take a break from Christmas cards and share a couple cards created using Mama Elephant's Book Worm set.  As you know, I love books, so this set is right up my alley.
There are so many cute images in the set.  I colored and die cut a bunch of them and then set out to create a couple cards.
I've been trying to use more patterned paper since I have so much of it lying around here.  It's a bonus when the paper does a lot of the work for you.
This wood brick pattern does all the work to set a scene/background for my card.  I just needed to assemble the images in front and stamp a sentiment.
Sometimes the patterned paper can create a structure for your card.  The piece that I used for the background on this card is just a series of structured lines.  I think it was supposed to be used to create an invitation of announcement, but it was a great way to create a modern, CAS card.
After placing the images and stamping the sentiment, I layered the paper over a piece of black patterned paper to define the top and bottom borders.
The sentiments for both of these cards are from Mama Elephant's Good Reads set.
